| Bio: | Character Name: Howard The Duck Character Fandom: Howard The Duck (film); a smidgen of Marvel Comics Character Background: Howard The Duck was born on Duckworld, a planet in another dimension (or possibly just a planet a little outside our galaxy), where intelligent life evolved from ducks. Duckworld is like earth in many ways, including the fact that in at least some of the Duckworld, its inhabitants speak English. Howard was born in New Stork City, the oldest son of Dave and Dottie Duck, and the older brother of sister Theresa and brother Orville. Howard was just about always a disappointment to his parents, and they spent their time doting on his younger siblings. His parents expected him to be a doctor, and though he went to college for it, his heart lie with music. Making it, listening to it. He'd even been in a band in high school, Howard & The Heartbreakers. After only having been in school six months or so, his siblings died in a fatal car crash, leaving him as Dave and Dottie's only child. They began to expect more of him, and though he tried, very hard, to please them, he just couldn't. He dropped out of medical school in the middle of his second year, and began to bounce from job to job. He ultimately ended up accepting a job as a copyrighting advertiser. Shortly after starting the new job, fate seemed to intervene on his humdrum life, taking him away from the world he'd long since felt he didn't belong in. A scientific experiment gone awry caused Howard to be pulled from his homeworld, and after being ripped from his living room, he landed in an alley in Cleveland, on the planet Earth. He was first met with hostility, but then he met a sweet, spunky, and beautiful singer named Beverly Switzler. He saved her from a couple jerks looking to use and abuse her, and then she offered him a place to stay. She was more than willing to try to help him find a way home, and contacted one of her band mates' boyfriend, Phil Blumburtt, for help. Phil wanted to help, and honestly liked Howard, but clearly wanted to make money off him at first. Howard struggled to get a good job, as Phil and Bev longed to find a way to help him get home, and Howard failed. Finally, Phil spoke to a scientist named Walter Jenning, who knew how Howard had got there, and knew how to get him home. Before that could happen, however, a demonic being from deep in space arrived and took over Jenning's body, wanting nothing more to bring down his buddies to help him take over the world. Howard destroyed the monster, and the machine that had brought it and himself to Earth, sacrificing his only chance to go home for the crazy world of "hairless apes". Beverly convinced him there was a reason why he was brought to Earth, and he accepted his new home rather quickly. Howard became the manager of Beverly's band, the Cherry Bombs, and hired Phil as an assistant on their tours. The girl group rocketed to stardom, releasing two best-selling albums in one year, the first producing the hit song named after the crazy duck that Beverly had somehow fallen in love with. Beverly also began to model, most of the time, lingerie, of all things. Howard was a bit jealous, and the two got into a fight, seconds before he somehow ended up plucked from his new home...
